ECSG named 2007 Environmentalist Grassroots Group of the Year by NMEAC
"Elmwood Citizens for Sensible Growth is notable because of its vision, impact, and staying power. Elmwood Citizens recognizes the “bottom line” and development prerogatives as important, but just two among many factors that contribute to the quality of life, the “vision” delineated in the township master plan. Elmwood Citizens and its board, namely Pei-shan VanZoeren, Kathy Komarek and JeanAnn Donley, continue to “hang tough” to induce their township planning commission to do what so many communities fail to do, ensure that their zoning ordinance mirrors and enforces the community vision articulated in the township master plan."
